Kevin Durant participated in part of the Houston Rockets’ practice before Game 2 against the Lakers, but his return remains uncertain.

Durant, who missed the first playoff game, did not return. Coach Udoka stated that a decision on whether the knee-injured forward will return will be made before Game 2. Durant injured his right knee in a collision with a teammate during pre-game practice, causing the Rockets’ loss to the Lakers. Udoka confirmed at the time that the star player did not suffer any structural damage and estimated he could return for Game 2.
Did return to Tuesday’s practice but only participated in some drills. Udoka updated his assessment of his star player’s injury in a post-practice interview: “Pain tolerance is one thing, but being able to move freely and perform all movements is the most important.”
Although the Rockets attempted 27 more shots than the Lakers, their field goal percentage was below 40%. The 37-year-old Durant, who averaged a team-high 26 points per game in the regular season, was the Rockets’ scoring anchor.
