Appreviewpros.com News, April 10th – Konami is launching a limited-time event, “Master League Sprint,” to celebrate eFootball surpassing 1 billion downloads worldwide, aiming to recreate the classic “Master League” gameplay.
As the successor to Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven, eFootball has now accumulated over 1 billion downloads across various platforms, and this event revolves around this milestone.

“Master League Sprint” retains the core mechanics familiar to veteran players—starting with a fictional squad and gradually building a team through matches, transfers, and development. Classic characters like Miranda and Castoro return, allowing players to continue as club managers, responsible for signings, stellar formations, and training arrangements.
The new mode also introduces a “Synergy” match mechanic, where player abilities and form directly impact team performance, triggering dynamic events such as growth, form changes, and injuries during matches.
Players accumulate points through matches to acquire new players and adjust their lineups. However, this mode is time-limited, available only until April 16th.
According to appreviewpros.com, there are currently no plans to release eFootball on Switch 2, but a spin-off title, eFootball Kick-Off!, is planned for release this summer. This title will feature richer offline gameplay, including a “World Tour” mode where players can create clubs and participate in global tournaments, and sign legendary players including David Beckham.
